Michel Éthier

Michel Ethier completed his studies at the Conservatoire de musique du Québec in Montreal where he obtained a First Prize of saxophone (class of Nicolas Ayoub) and a First Prize for chamber music (class of Bernard Jean). He subsequently studied with Jean‑Marie Londeix at the Conservatoire National de Bordeaux and completed a Masters in performance at the University of Northwesthern in Chicago in the class of Professor Frederic L. Hemke. He also holds a Bachelors degree in music Jazz‑Pop performance from the University of Quebec in Montreal. Michel Ethier is currently professor of saxophone at the Cégep régional de Lanaudière in Joliette.
