Isabelle Choquette
Originally from the Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu region, Isabelle holds a Master’s degree in performance from the Université de Montréal, under the direction of Jean-François Guay. Isabelle received scholarships from the Fonds Les Amis de l’Art in 2001 and 2002, and from the Fondation Desjardins in 2002, as well as a Master’s admission scholarship from the Université de Montréal. Parallel to her studies, Isabelle has taken part in master classes with Claude Delangle, Jean-Marie Londeix, Jean-Michel Goury, Daniel Gordon, Rémi Ménard and Daniel Gauthier.
A founding member of the Nota Bene saxophone quartet, with which she has given over 150 concerts, Isabelle also performs with Carlos Placeres and directs the saxophone section of the Fusiliers Mont-Royal band. Isabelle taught saxophone at Ozias-Leduc high school in Mont Saint-Hilaire and is a full-time lawyer specializing in housing law.
